Ron Friedman

Ron also owns and operates Filmmaker.com, a popular online resource that he created as a forum for filmmakers to exchange technical and creative information.

Steve Bencich
Steve has received festival honors including winner for Best Video Programming at the Saguaro Film Festival (1994) for a sci-fi farce BATTLE FOR THE PLANET OF CHEESE.  Steve’s 16mm film GRANDMA was awarded Best Experimental Film Short at the Black Maria Awards (1995).

In addition to writing comedy shorts, Steve was head writer and director for TV OR NOT TV, an episodic comedy that aired in Phoenix in 1992-93.  TV OR NOT TV won a Rocky Mountain Regional Emmy (1992).  Steve’s comedy writing and directing experience also includes founding, directing and performing with “Nothing Personal,” a comedy troupe at the Improvisation Comedy Club.  Steve has also written, directed and performed at hundreds of theatrical competitions.  His pieces SACRILICIOUS, SMALL FILMS, SMALL SCREENS and THE MEANING OF LIFE have won awards at more than thirty forensic tourneys.

BLAIR RICHWOOD
BLAIR RICHWOOD has over 17 years experience in the feature film business, where she has been active in development, writing and production in creative and executive positions for top filmmakers.  She has worked on numerous films, series and commercials, as well as produced, directed, costumed and acted in more than 70 theater productions across the country.  Her feature development and production experience includes THE OTHER SISTER (co-story), THE LIFT, CONFLICT OF INTEREST, A NEW LEAF, FRANKIE & JOHNNY, THE DOCTOR, WHAT ABOUT BOB?, PRETTY WOMAN, BEACHES, THE LOTTERY, and OVERBOARD. Utilizing this soup-to-nuts experience, Ms. Richwood opened her specialized firm, Richwood Script Consultants, in Los Angeles in January 1998 to offer writers, directors, producers and executives the independent support of an A-list development executive on a confidential per-project basis.

Prior to hanging her own shingle, Ms. Richwood was vice president of creative affairs for Barry Sonnenfeld at Disney; developed for Douglas/Reuther Productions at Paramount, was associate producer of the Garry Marshall/Lowell Ganz play WRONG TURN AT LUNGFISH, headed Marshall's development deal at Disney, and was executive assistant to producer Laura Ziskin at Sony.  She began her feature career in 1986 working for Garry Marshall, and they wrote THE OTHER SISTER story together in 1991.  In television, she created the Disney game show 100% RIGHT! and worked for the producer/director on the TV series NOTHING IN COMMON, BEACH BROTHERS, LET’S GET MOM and BREAK THE BANK.

As a UCLA Extension Instructor since 1998, she enjoys working with the next generation of filmmakers by leading her own feature development workshops and seminars on campus, and privately in her Santa Monica offices.  She presents clinics and training at screenwriting conferences across the country and will be seen next at the American Screenwriters Association's "Selling to Hollywood" conference at Universal Studios this August.

Ms. Richwood was raised in Burbank in an industry family of an art director, a development executive, an artist and an actor, Patrick Richwood.  Her office is in Santa Monica but she can be found on the internet at www.ScriptNotes.com where her extensive credits, qualifications, services and updates are detailed.
