To me, books are almost humans and it all started when I was about 10. I had a flu and my parents brought me a book from their shopping trip which I must have read 20 or 25 times within thefollowing 5years.  It was a book written by a 13 year old girl from the UK whose name I cannot recall right now. The title was:

.Königin Elisabeth war immer zu dem Mäusen nett
(Something like: Queen Elizabeth was always nice to mice)

.The Sound and the Fury (Faulkner)
.Great Expectations (Dickens)
.Pride and Prejudice (Austen)
.The Lord of the Rings (Tolkien)
.Desert Flower (Waris Dirie)
.Life according to Garp (Irving)
.Vanity Fair (Thackeray)
.Good Wives (Alcott)
.The Criminal History of Christianity (Deschner)
